McCall avenges son Elijah’s loss to Rekowski as Wawrzyk annihilates Williams

Now 48, the American ensured his 72nd professional outing was a memorable one as the judges carded 77-75 in his favour twice to the shock of the home crowd, whilst another scored it for Rekowski 76-75.

McCall pushes his record up to 57-13 with two no contests, whilst Rekowski will have to go back to the drawing board having lost for the first time in his maiden bout against a fighter of note.

Rekowski does however hold a win over McCall’s son Elijah, and failed to complete the family double as ‘The Atomic Bull’ left Poland with revenge for the 2013 fifth round stoppage.

Also on the bill, Mike Tyson conqueror Danny Williams continues to live off his most famous win by entering the ring way past his best and was taken out in just one round by Andrzej Wawrzyk.

Wawrzyk, 26, was back in action for the first time since his humbling defeat for the WBA title against Alexander Povetkin last May and moved on to 28-1 by punishing Williams to a 21st loss.
