Ray Beltran v Roman Martinez: WBO eliminator set for Pacquiao v Bradley 2

Beltran’s manager Steve Feder has revealed that his fighter will participate in a WBO eliminator against Roman ‘Rocky’ Martinez for a potential rematch with Burns – if the Scot can get past his mandatory Terence Crawford in March.

“We are very pleased to be a part of the Pacman-Bradley event on April 12th,” Feder told World Boxing News.

“Ray looks forward to getting back in the ring and putting on a great show for his fans. We aren’t looking past Martinez at all as he is a very tough and experienced fighter, but we will be watching the Burns-Crawford bout and we assure you that we will be rooting for Burns to win just so we can settle this score once and for all.

“Either way, we will fight the winner and Ray will be champion. Best of luck to Ricky.”

The Mexican missed out on gaining the WBO belt in a close split decision draw against Burns last September and will be handed another title opportunity if he can defeat ex-world champion Martinez in Las Vegas.
