Warren agrees deal with Fury, sets up Chisora rematch

At a press conference held on Wednesday, Warren stated that Fury has agreed a deal to share top billing with Chisora at the Copper Box Arena in London next month, with the view to both sharing a ring in June at an outdoor event.

Fury, 25, has been searching for a high-profile opponent since former world champion David Haye left him in the lurch not once, but twice, and had mentioned Chisora as a potential foe on more than one occasion.

The former British and Irish title holder is back in training with uncle Peter in Cannes, France and now has something to focus on after months of inactivity as Warren and Team Fury debate a suitable opponent for February 15.

This latest move is a bold one by Warren as he positions 30 year-old Chisora for another crack at a world title, with the Fury return touted as a possible eliminator for a challenge against current heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko.

*Editor’s Note: Peter Fury has since confirmed that Tyson Fury is still promoted by Mick Hennessy and the agreement will be a co-promotional deal with BoxNation.
