WBN Awards 2013: The Winners

Editors’ choice went to Floyd Mayweather Jr. for his victories over Robert Guerrero and Saul Alvarez respectively, whilst Japan’s undefeated world bantamweight champion Tomoki Kameda claimed the Young Fighter of the Year accolade.

Fight of the Year honours were bestowed on the enthralling welterweight contest between Timothy Bradley and Ruslan Provodnikov that took place at the Home Depot Center in March, with Ukrainian Olympic amatuer star Vasyl Lomachenko the 2014 tip to become a world champion. Lomachenko is just 1-0 after turning pro last year, but has already been earmarked for a world title shot against Orlando Salido.
