Untested Rudenko a trip into the unknown for Chisora

Chisora v Rudenko tickets are on sale now for what is expected to be another huge night in the BoxNation calender, with Billy Joe Saunders and Liam Walsh v Gary Sykes also featuring on the bill.

Standing at just over six feet tall, Rudenko is not exactly built like a Klitschko, although the Ukrainian does possesses a big punch that could make up for his lack of a presence when he tackles Chisora next month.

It’s not often that ‘Del Boy’ goes into a clash as the taller fighter, with the 30 year-old certainly a heavy favourite as Rudenko is largely untested at any level – with all of his 24 wins have coming on or around home soil.

Rudenko, also 30, has 16 stoppages on his record, 15 of which have come in the first four rounds, but it would be a struggle to find any opponent of note on the Dnipro fighter’s unbeaten path.

Champion Chisora has built up a head of steam since disappointingly losing to David Haye on a rainy night in the summer of 2012 and has the chance to build on his five straight knockouts as he surges to another world title shot.

The chief support at super-featherweight sees Walsh and Sykes collide in what has the makings of a domestic classic for the vacant Lonsdale belt, whilst Saunders is ready to step up in 2014 as he looks to challenge the bigger names at middleweight.
