Mayweather illustrates what Khan, Maidana or Pacquiao can expect to face

Interest in the worlds premier fighter is at an all-time high and the 36 year-old has begun naming the contenders who have a chance of winning his ‘sweepstakes’ for next spring in Las Vegas.

‘Money’ Mayweather has laid out his top three via his usual method of social media, with Amit Khan, Marcos Maidana and Manny Pacquiao apparently the trio in the frame to face him at the MGM Grand.

Here are the Showtime fighter’s thoughts on all three:

Just imagine what Amir “Con Artist” will get if his name gets picked in the Mayweather sweepstakes – Mayweather on Khan

Can I please order a one-piece with a biscuit? No sides – Mayweather on Maidana

Now you’re telling me I got to eat Juan Marquez’s leftovers? Let me talk to the IRS about this – Mayweather on Pacquiao

Khan, 27, would remain the favourite on paper to oppose Mayweather in his 46th professional contest, although Pacquiao seems to be taking the brunt of Mayweather’s ‘seasons (verbal) beatings’ throughout the holidays.

An announcement was initially though to be in the pipeline pre-Christmas, but looks more likely to be sometime in January as Mayweather plans to kick off 2014 with a bang by confirming his first of two fights next year.
