Undefeated heavyweight Tyson Fury has vented his latest rant at Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn as talks continue on both side regarding a proposed autumn fight with domestic rival David Haye.
Fury, 24, is unhappy as some of Hearn’s recent public comments on the situation regarding the status of the fight and wants the Sky-backed promoter to concentrate on the publicity of the clash with Haye, rather than talking up negotiations.
“As far as I am concerned Eddie Hearn is being sly and kissing everyone’s ass,” Fury told World Boxing News.
“He is just a one-shirt millionaire who carries Haye’s balls round in his hand, even though he has no input into him as far as I know and I just hope he can promote this fight good.”
According to trainer and uncle Peter Fury, who also spoke to WBN earlier today, the potential Haye clash is being looked at for September 28 in Manchester (with two other options) and has a good chance of being made.
The buzz amongst fans is reaching fever pitch due to the noises coming out of the camps surrounding the UK super-bout, with the pair standing to make a hefty pay check from the biggest fight on Britain soil in 20 years.
Hearn will no doubt be able to chuckle at Fury’s comments as the influential UK boxing figure prepares to throw his weight behind making the encounter one of the biggest heavyweight battles of recent times.
32 year-old Haye meanwhile, seems to have blown off any chance of a future fight with Manuel Charr as he looks to seal another shot at a Klitschko brother in the next twelve months.
