Talented heavyweight Mike Perez is back in the ring this weekend after an absence of almost eighteen months as the Cuban faces veteran American Travis ‘Freight Train’ Walker over ten rounds.

Perez, 27, has amassed an 18-0 record, with 12 stoppages since turning pro and had increased his reputation by claiming Prizefighter – The Internationals crown in May 2011, but has fought little in the interim.

‘The Rebel’ has seen his promosing career stall through injuries and cancelled fights, but now gets a massive showcase on the undercard on Wladimir Klitschko v Francesco Pianeta on Saturday night at the SAP-Arena in Mannheim, Germany.

33 year-old opponent Walker has been blowing hot and cold in the ring since losing his unbeaten record in 2007 and is not expected to trouble Perez as the big-hitting contender looks to get back into limelight after a frustrating time away.
