Pongsaklek Wonjongkam returns, scores first round stoppage

The 35 year-old two-time long-reigning WBC super-flyweight champion had initially stepped away from the ring following a bruising loss to Rey Megrino in November, but made a comeback to record his 88th career victory against the novice.

Also on the bill, former WBA light-flyweight title holder Kompayak Porpramook overcame Jean Piero Perez to claim the interim version of the belt at flyweight, improving his career standing to 50-4 in the process.

Elsewhere in Japan, former two-weight world champion Hozumi Hasegawa knocked out Veerapol Sor Chantasith in three rounds to record his third straight win since losing his WBC featherweight belt to Jhonny Gonzalez in April 2011.
