$23.2 million bid laid down for Klitschko v Povetkin

A bid of $23.2 million dollars was offered by Hryunov Promotions to host a potential fight between unified champion Wladimir Klitschko and WBA title holder Alexander Povetkin.

Klitschko’s promoter K2 put in a bid of $7,130,000 for the clash, whilst Povetkin’s representatives Sauerland Event bid $6,014,444, which turned out to be insufficient.

The fight, if agreed, is slated for August 31st in Moscow, Berlin or Las Vegas, although the whole event means little if either side disagree with any aspect of the contest.
