Lo Greco offers Alexander a May 18 alternative to Brook

IBF welterweight champion Alexander was due to defend his belt against mandatory challenger Brook at the Boardwalk Hall after the bout was originally rescheduled twice in the build-up through injuries. Now with the Briton suffering a foot injury, the contest is off for the immediate future and unbeaten Lo Greco has no problems switching to Alexander, from Porter as the 28 year-old is already in training for that date.

“I am scheduled to fight Porter right now, but if a world title opportunity comes then it is hard to say no – but for now my sole focus is Porter until anything changes,” Lo Greco told World Boxing News.

“If Devon gives me a shot I would obliviously take it as how can you say no, but that is not in my thinking unless it happens.”

Alexander ‘The Great’ is thought to be considering his options for the Atlantic City card, with an announcement on who will replace ‘The Special One’ due from Golden Boy in the next few days.
