Fury closes Twitter account to focus on Cunningham
Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury has decided to shut down his personal Twitter account as the unbeaten fighter switches into fight mode for his upcoming battle with former cruiserweight world champion Steve Cunningham.
Fury, 24, who has caused controversy in the past on his social platform, is looking to extend his 20-0 record with a first contest in the United States on April 20 by fulfilling a lifelong dream to fight at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Opponent Cunningham is a seasoned campaigner at 200lbs, although the 36 year-old embarks on just a third outing since moving up the weights, one of which was a controversial loss to Tomasz Adamek last time out.
Fledgling professional Hughie Fury, cousin of Tyson, is also scheduled to participate in his third pro fight, with a second lined up for this Tuesday night in Toronto on the back of the 18 year-old’s successful debut last month.
