In the HBO co-feature to Bernard Hopkins v Tavoris Cloud, Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman dominated former world title-holder Jan Zaveck to claim a fringe WBO welterweight belt and the mandatory position to champion Timothy Bradley.

All three judges gave the 24 year-old every round (120-108) after he out-scored the Slovenian throughout, although I gave Zaveck the sixth for his industry to score the contest 119-109. (click for scorecard)

Heavy-handed Thurman, who is now 20-0, on this evidence looks the real deal and a fully-fledged world champion in the making, whilst Zaveck drops a fourth loss from 37 bouts and at 36 may now be contemplated his position in boxing.
