The 26 year-old, who went fifteen fights unbeaten until his first loss in 2010, last fought in September when losing to Julio Diaz via a fifth round stoppage at Fantasy Springs Casino in California.
Diaz, 33, who put Sanchez down once on the way to a convincing win, won the world title at lightweight several years ago and is now set to face former pound for pound star Amir Khan in April at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena in the United Kingdom.
Several people died in the incident along with Sanchez, which is currently being investigated by police.
