Sam Soliman reportedly tests positive for ‘designer drug’

IBF mandatory title challenger Sam Soliman submitted a positive drugs test from his ‘A’ sample in the wake of his victory over former world champion Felix Sturm, according to German newspaper Bild.

The 39 year-old, who was handed a unanimous decision at the ISS Dome in Dusseldorf on February 1 after a workman-like performance, could now miss out on a world title chance against Daniel Geale if his ‘B’ sample comes back with the same result.

The Australian’s test was found to have traces of a ‘designer drug’ said the report and more is expected to emerge on the breaking story in the coming hours and days.
