Exclusive: Lucas Browne eyes ‘weak chin’ David Price or Audley Harrison

Price, 29, saw his undefeated run wiped out by American Tony Thompson, whilst 41-year-old Harrison rose from the ashes of his loss to the British champion to pick up the Prizefighter crown for the second time.

Browne, 33, now hopes to persuade either to share a ring with him as he looks to improve his reputation and 14-fight undefeated record – before he steps up to world level soon.

“In honesty, I thought the punch that Price went down from was extremely soft, but I’ve always heard that he had a week chin, so I’m not sure what to think about the stoppage,” Browne exclusively told World Boxing News.

“I was surprised he went down from it as it didn’t look like much, and he was still fresh. Up until then, he was winning the fight.

“Price just has to go and get another win now and get back to doing his thing, but it wouldn’t be against me if he took my challenge.”

‘Big Daddy’ learned of former Olympic champion Audley Harrison’s winning return on the same night as Price lost for the first time and is ready to battle the Londoner if promoter Ricky Hatton thinks it’s the right move.

“Although I haven’t had a chance to view the Prizefighter fights as yet, Audley did well – but due to his age, if he was making a run for the title, he better do it soon,” said Browne. “I think he’s got the skill and the talent, and as long as he brings his A-game, he’s in with a chance.

“I would love to fight both Price and Harrison. I’ve got two fights lined up in the next month and am just making my way through the ranks by taking out whoever Hatton puts in front of me. I’ll do whatever it takes to be a world champ, including taking them both out!”
