British heavyweight champion David Price makes a significant step-up in class this weekend as the heavy-handed Liverpudlian faces seasoned American Tony Thompson at the Echo Arena.
The 29 year-old has been steadily making waves in the division since turning pro on the back of a successful amateur career and could be ready to make the step up to a world title within twelve months.
Price v Thompson is to be shown live and exclusive on BoxNation tonight, with coverage beginning at 7:30pm GMT on a card that also features two British title bouts.

Firstly, flyweight title holder Kevin Satchell defends his Lonsdale belt against Luke Wilton, whilst Ashley Theophane conqueror Darren Hamilton puts his title on the line against the North West’s own Steve Williams.

Also on the card, J’Leon Love will attempt to keep his unbeaten record intact as he fights Derrick Findley over ten rounds in only his second appearance in his home state of Michigan.
