Matthysse v Dallas: All fighters cleared by drug testing

Last weekend’s first big fight night of 2013 saw all twenty participants test negative for any illegal substances by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for the event staged at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

There was some controversy prior the main event as interim WBC light-welterweight champion Lucas Matthysee was embroiled in a row with Mike Dallas Jr’s trainer Virgil Hunter over the administering of Amino 4500, although the fight went ahead as planned.

Argentinian Matthysse, 30, then proceeded to flatten the challenger in the first round and now moves on to a potential lucrative clash with double title holder Danny Garcia later in the year.

Keith Kizer confirmed the news of the test results to WBN today as Las Vegas prepares for their next big fight, with Frankie Gomez and Lanard Lane topping the bill at the Cosmopolitan this Saturday night.
