World super middleweight giants Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler will clash for a second time at the O2 Arena in London on May 25.
IBF super-middleweight champion Froch, 35, and 33 year-old WBA belt holder Kessler met previously in 2010, with the Dane coming out on top in a closely-fought contest on his home soil and has now agreed to travel to the United Kingdom to battle ‘The Cobra’ on his home turf.
If Nottingham-based Froch can turn the tables on the ‘Viking Warrior’ and level up the series at one apiece later this year, then a rubber-match will be on the cards towards the back end of 2013 to decide an overall winner in the trilogy.
The May meeting is also be expected to be a pay-per-view affair.
Tickets for the fight will go on sale from the O2’s website – www.theO2.co.uk – and on 0844 856 0202 at midday on Monday February 4 as the pair meet at a press conference to formally announce the blockbuster rematch. Tickets cost £40, £60, £80, £100, £150, £200, £300 and ringside seats are priced at £500.
