Entertaining Frenchman Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam is hoping to set up talks with Top Rank and SMS Promotions as the former WBO middleweight champion cranks up his quest for a rematch with Peter Quillin.
The 28 year-old was put down six times by ‘Kid Chocolate’ after taking the fight at what he calls ‘short notice’ in October, despite putting on a good showing and extending his reputation by dominating the fight for long periods.
The Cameroon-born fighter is now on the lookout for a US promoter with the clout to make a return with Quillin a reality and sees Bob Arum and 50 Cent as ideal candidates to make his dream come true in the future.
“I want to make my American dream and I know with Arum or 50 Cent that all this could be possible,” N’Dam told World Boxing News.
“They have influence to get my rematch to win back my world title against Peter Quillin.
“I have been given a new ranking by the IBF at number seven and after Geale fights Mundine and Sturm faces Soliman, I will be number five – so I would like the opportunity to recover my belt and I know I am the only Frenchman able to beat the American.”
N’Dam will face a further wait for his chance as Quillin’s scheduled title defence against Fernando Guerrero has been pushed back to April 27, from February 9 after headliner Danny Garcia suffered a rib injury.
Quillin has been dismissive of handing N’Dam a return following their Fight of the Year contender, although a potential signing with Arum or 50 Cent would do no harm to the chances of a second meeting between the two.
