Ricky Hatton to appear on ‘Let’s Dance for Comic Relief’

Retired former world champion Ricky Hatton is to lace up his dancing shoes, rather than his boxing gloves as the ‘Hitman’ takes part in this years annual BBC 1 contest ‘Let’s Dance for Comic Relief’ next month.

The 34 year-old, who made a comeback to the ring last November losing to Vyacheslav Senchenko, has been keeping himself in shape since quitting the ring for a second time and will join fourteen other celebrities on the show.

Stars are asked to dance to a piece of music of their choosing, copying the dance moves of the original and Hatton will line up with comedian Tim Vine and impressionist Jon Culshaw, among others.

Last years winner was comedian and TV presenter Roland Rivon, who took the crown dancing to ‘Weapon of Choice’ by Fatboy Slim.

The 2013 series is due to run from February 16 to March 9, giving the celebrities the opportunity to raise a huge sum of money for the cause.
