Charr rules out Fury, only wants to fight Haye

Former world title challenger Manuel Charr has reacted to being called out by Tyson Fury on Twitter by confirming to WBN that David Haye is the only target as the 28 year-old seeks out a rematch with Vitali Klitschko.

The ‘Diamond Boy’ lost out to the formidable Ukrainian via a fourth round stoppage last September, which he squarely blames on a cut suffered in the fight and sees the ‘Hayemaker’ as his ticket to a return in 2013.

Alternatively, Charr wants to manoeuvre himself into position to face Haye for the vacant WBC heavyweight title if Vitali decides to retire and won’t consider a clash with 20-fight unbeaten Fury at this stage.

“We have no interest in Tyson Fury, we only need David Haye,” stated Charr, who also ruled out a touted match-up with Dereck Chisora when asked by WBN previously.

Charr’s next opponent has been announced as Turkish-born Yakup Saglam in a bout to take place in Romania on February 22nd,after which, the current WBC International silver champion will step up his bid for another world title shot.
