Palacios left waiting by Wlodarczyk

The 35 year-old, who lost a close split decision to Wlodarczyk in April 2011 in what was his only loss in 21 bouts, has been given a scheduled date of the 22nd of the month but told WBN that there is still something holding up the conclusion on negotiations.

“The fight is still not settled,” Palacios told World Boxing News. “It’s supposed to be September 22nd in Wroclaw, Poland, but I am being made to wait.

“I am definately annoyed at the delay, but it’s also helping me get stronger, faster and hungrier to take away his belt.

“I have signed my contract so I guess it must be his that is holding it up. It won’t matter in the end though because he is in trouble regardless.”

Wlodarczyk, 30, has lost just twice in 49 outings so far and defeated a declining Danny Green in his last bout. The Pole is unbeaten since a 2007 loss to Steve Cunningham on home soil and will make the fourth defence of his green belt once the bout with mandatory Palacios is finalized.
