Cristofer Rosales halts Paddy Barnes with crippling body shot

In three close rounds prior, champion Cristofer Rosales was clearly the bigger puncher, although Barnes did have success with eye-catching combinations.

Rosales found the target in the third and fourth rounds before a crunching body shot crippled Barnes to the solar-plexus right at the end of the session and referee Victor Loughlin counted out the Irishman.

Also on the bill, Stephen Ward picked up an Irish title with a points verdict against Steve Collins Jr. Ward, a training partner of Carl Frampton, took a decisive eight-round decision win 79-75 to have his hands raised.

Middleweight Conrad Cummings got back to winning ways against the durable Nicky Jenman by claiming all six rounds with the ring official. Cummings can now boast a C.V of 14-2-1 as the Irishman bids to secure sterner tests down the line.

Marco McCullough clocked up the 20th triumph of his pro career with a six-round decision win over Jordan Ellison. McCullough controlled the action to see out the super-featherweight contest 60-55.

On his pro debut, Stephen Donnelly out-pointed Kevin McCauley with a whitewash at light-middleweight, whilst Sam Maxwell took out Chris Truman in the third round of their light-welterweight bout.

Also making his first start in the paid ranks, Sean McComb halted Reynaldo Mora in the final round of four to begin his lightweight career with a bang, before Luke Keeler potentially set-up a rematch with the aforementioned Cummings with a 79-73 win over Dwayne Grant through eight.

Featherweight and Team Fury member Isaac Lowe kicked off proceedings with a routine 40-36 victory over Jose Hernandez.

The former European and British title challenger was a late addition to the card and warmed up easily for his forthcoming rematch with Ryan Walsh.
