105 years ago, Johnson was convicted in 1913 by an all-white jury for violating the Mann Act of transporting women across state lines in order to perform ‘immoral’ acts.

Trump released a statement and said many feel Johnson was a victim of injustice due to the racist views of those overseeing proceedings.

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, current WBC title holder Deontay Wilder and ‘Rocky Balboa’ himself – Sylvester Stallone were on hand as the pardon was confirmed.

Retiring at the age of 53 in 1931 with a record of 56-11-8, Johnson would pass away fifteen years later.

Fans all around the world have been lobbying for Trump to make the move, backed by boxing royalty on hand to hear the decision.

“Waiting for the moment to go into the oval office for the pardon of the great black hat with a champion Jack Johnson,” posted Stallone as he waited for the verdict, before Lewis joined Wilder to give the Hollywood star a knuckle sandwich and stated: “Me and @BronzeBomber turning @TheSlyStallone into a knuckle sandwich.

“We are in DC for pardoning of Jack Johnson who was wrongfully convicted of violating The Mann Act.”

Wilder is still hoping to land an undisputed clash with Anthony Joshua, who himself is in America and recently appeared at an NBA game and on The Conan O’Brien show.
