EXCLUSIVE: Provodnikov gives Mayweather TEN SECONDS to win MMA fight, says he CARRIED McGregor

Mayweather is currently training alongside UFC champion Tyron Woodley for a potential rematch with Conor McGregor inside the octagon following a win over the outspoken Irishman under boxing rules last year.

Provodnikov, who was linked to a fight with Mayweather on more than one occasion in the past, has taken the same view as many who have discussed the fight in the past after branding it ‘a circus’ when speaking to WBN.

Ahead of what could be the most lucrative combat event of all time, ‘The Siberian Rocky’ doesn’t give Mayweather much of a chance if he agrees to fight under full UFC rules.

“I think that’s kind of circus but I don’t think that Floyd will ever fight in UFC,” Provodnikov exclusively told World Boxing News.

“If Floyd ever does fight in the UFC, it’s gonna be some kind of show and not a real fight,” he added.

Asked his thoughts on the boxing bout last August, which Mayweather won in the tenth round, Provodnikov replied: “I’m glad that Floyd won, but I’m pretty sure it was a little made up fight

“I know definitely that Floyd could have stopped McGregor earlier but he just decided to give people some show for fun and big money.”

On whether Mayweather could win a fight in the UFC, Provodnikov gave a harsh assessment of the American’s chances.

“The only way Floyd can win is if he can land a (knockout) shot in the first ten seconds,” smirked the Russian in conclusion.

Mayweather was rumored to have put forward altered rules for his second bout with McGregor, which amazingly included no kicking, elbows or takedowns.

Basically what amounts to a glorified boxing match in an eight-sided arena, although a resulting outcry by fans would certainly have sent a message to Mayweather that fans just wouldn’t buy it.
