The new functional electrolyte water from Lucozade Sport, Fitwater partnered with Boxercise and put 541 participants from across the UK through their paces in a bid to get people active, part of Lucozade Sport’s commitment to get 1,000,000 people moving more by 2020.

Partnered with Fitwater, Anthony Joshua hosted a thirty-minute workout session at London’s iconic boxing venue, York Hall.

The 500 plus strong class was treated to a bespoke Boxercise lesson during which the Heavyweight World Champion of the World demonstrated a variety of combat and defensive moves that each participant needed to follow to ensure they achieved World Record success.

The event was also attended and monitored by 10 chaperones, to ensure that all the 541 participants adhered to the stringent stipulations set by Guinness World Records.

Fitwater is a zero calorie, zero sugar, electrolyte water specifically made for sporting and exercise occasions, containing four key electrolytes that help replenish what you lose when you sweat.

Anthony Joshua, who is an official ambassador for Lucozade Sport said: “It’s been really exciting to be part of setting a new Guinness World Records title with Fitwater. To get over 500 people taking part in something I’m passionate about is amazing. I hope our World Record success inspires more people to get moving and involved in Boxercise.”

Lucy Grogut, Head of Lucozade Sport said: “It was fantastic to see so many people sign up for the Lucozade Sport Fitwater event and take part in this World Record attempt. AJ is a huge inspiration and to achieve more World Record success is a testament to him as an athlete.

“It has also allowed us to emphasise the importance of hydration when exercising. Fitwater is the perfect hydration partner for this type of exercise, as it contains electrolytes to help replenish what you lose when you sweat.”
