The relationship of the two is explained by Gary Booth speaking to WBN this week as the pair work hard to build their newly founded company.

“We have a cut off period, I always say that we need to find time for having fun and we need to find time for being serious,” Booth exclusively told World Boxing News.

“When we’re in the gym, we get in early, we talk about what we’re going to do with the boxing side of things, obviously that’s the business side of it.”

Booth also elaborated on taking the training side of things into his own hands.

“When its time to train, I just completely cut off from where I am with Jamie, it’s just a completely different relationship and it has to be otherwise he won’t work when he needs to.

“He tells me what to do on the business side of things because I’m clueless and, we get training and boxing. He’s got to listen to me because it’s my cup of tea – basically.

“Obviously if you don’t listen you won’t learn, you won’t learn you’re not gonna go forward and if you don’t go forward; you’re not going to do anything, this is boxing.”

Elaborating on their partnership, Booth added: “Yeah its a cracking relationship, we just bounce off each other and some people have said ‘oh it will never work’ I can see why they say (it may not work) because its all about attitudes and the way people are.

“I’m quite approachable and Jamie’s quite approachable so in regards to locking horns and doing what we have to do, yeah its sweet harmony basically.

“It’s good for me, like I say I opened my gym doors, he does what he does and we get in the gym and we get to graft. He listens to everything I need to tell him,” said Booth.
