Anthony Joshua jabs his way into Pound for Pound Top 5

The Londoner proved he’s not just a concussive puncher when rewinding back to his amateur days to see out a points victory over Joseph Parker on Saturday night in Cardiff, Wales.

Joshua had previously held a position in the Top 20 since defeating Wladimir Klitschko almost a year ago, but now moves into the big leagues after adding the WBO belt to his WBA, IBF and IBO versions.

‘AJ’ is possibly only one win away from being the first top division star since Lennox Lewis to hold the pound for pound number one spot after overhauling Canelo Alvarez to take fifth place on the list.

Gennady Golovkin remains at the helm, ahead of Vasyl Lomachenko, Terence Crawford and Mikey Garcia to round off the top five.
