Looking solid as ever, the reigning king of heavyweight boxing took to the scales and was filmed by promoter Eddie Hearn scaling 112.9kg in the gym. That equates to just over 248 pounds, which is already six lighter than when Joshua weighed in for his October battle with Carlos Takam.

At this rate, Joshua could be up to a stone (14 pounds) less than for the Takam fight, at which the Londoner shocked by coming in his heaviest ever weight of 254 pounds.
Opponent Parker is himself working on speed, meaning fans can expect a much more mobile affair than against Takam or indeed the slugfest with Wladimir Klitschko back in April.
A win for Joshua next month would add a fourth world title to the 27 year-old’s impressive haul and leave ‘AJ’ just one victory from becoming the first ever top division puncher to completely unify the division.
