Deontay Wilder set to face nemesis Luis Ortiz on March 3

Wilder was a commentator in Ortiz’s most recent fight in Florida, and following its spectacular conclusion, he climbed up into the ring to challenge the victorious Cuban.

Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) agrees to face Ortiz, despite the fact that their match canceled in late September, over an issue directly connected with the WBC’s “Clean Boxing Program,” which has now been addressed with Ortiz and resolved.

If talk goes well, actions involving WBC heavyweight champion Wilder Vs Ortiz, will follow, as the headline of an attractive card on March 3rd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Elsewhere, World Boxing Council light flyweight champion, Japan’s Ken Shiro will close the year with a defence of his crown  against dangerous Panamanian Gilberto “Cacique” Pedroza, on December 30th at the Bunka Gym in Yokohama, Japan.

Shiro (11-0-0, 5 KO’S) has accomplished an extremely successful spell in his short career, winning the WBC world title in May by defeating Mexican Ganigan Lopez in a great fight.

Then in October, he completed the first defense of his crown, defeating another Mexican…former world champion Pedro Guevara.

Fully aware of just what`s at stake, Gilberto “Cacique” Pedroza (18-3-2, 8 KO’S), says he`s undergoing and coming through the very best preparation of his career.

He earned his place in the Rising Sun, by convincingly defeating wily and experienced Mexican Saul “Baby” Juarez.
