Always one to keep journalists on his toes, The ‘Money’ man has posted two videos of himself training in the gym despite settling into his THIRD retirement.
The 40 year-old bowed out originally in 2010 after defeating Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand before returning to the ring sixteen months later and signing a six-fight mega-deal with Showtime.
A further run of eight wins, culminating in a victory over Andre Berto in September 2015, led to Mayweather once again dropping away to enjoy a European tour during a year of travelling.
Mayweather would then make another comeback to face UFC star Conor McGregor in a cross-codes battle before walking away a billionaire from boxing last August.
Just two months down the line and Mayweather is hinting at a return to action already by putting out training videos as rumors grow of a potential rematch with McGregor under altered rules.

The American defeated McGregor in the squared circle via a late stoppage at the T-Mobile Arena, using the Irishman’s lack of stamina over the 36-minute distance to his advantage.
It was widely reported that Mayweather hardly even hit the gym for the McGregor, much was his confidence in the gameplan, although ‘The Notorious’ immediately offered Floyd a second fight in the octagon.
Under no circumstances is it thought Mayweather would ever accept an offer to change codes, although an exhibition-type contest, which would not count on his record, may well be within reach – if the paycheck is big enough.
Whatever the future holds for Mayweather there is a mountain of cash still to be made as boxing still cries out for someone to spearhead the sport and take things to the next level once again.
Fully aware of this situation, Mayweather seems content to tease a possible 51st outing in a bid to keep the rest of the sport on guard.
