Speaking after Groves took out Jamie Cox with a brutal fourth round body shot at Wembley Arena, Sauerland revealed some details of the match-up with Eubank as both boxers put their respective world titles on the line for a place in the final of the tournament.
“In Britain, it’s the fight I think everyone wanted,” Kalle pointed out to Gabriel Clarke of ITV Box Office.
“It’s the super fight, it’s a mega fight. You call it what you want but it’s going to be explosive.
“The build-up is going to be huge and were going to find the right platform to do it.
“It will be January / February and it will be in Britain. I’m not going to say if its indoors or outdoors, but it will be somewhere big,” he added.
Eubank Jr. watched on just a week after his own sparkling performance against Avni Yildirim, in which the 28 year-old enhanced his reputation and made himself the bookies favourite to life the trophy.
Discussing his last four contest as he went face-to-face with Groves in the ring, Eubank predicted an epic match-up.
“We have an opportunity here to put on a mega-fight, put our belts on the line for the Muhammad Ali Trophy and I can’t wait. It’s going to be epic,” stated Eubank Jr.
Groves, himself added: “I think the fans are going to love it. Eubank to his credit has always been all action but he’s never boxed anyone like me. He’s got momentum, but not quite the form.
“The momentum will put him in a confident frame of mind, but we (Shane McGuigan and I) know how to deal with that,” said the Londoner.
