The Commonwealth Boxing Council have released the list of fighters eligible to challenge Josh Taylor for his super-lightweight title in the next few months.

As Taylor scouts a potential opponent, with Scottish rival Ricky Burns amongst his favored choices, the Cyclone man will be pleased to see the former world champion on the shortlist.

Also appearing alongside Burns are Floyd Mayweather promoted Ashley Theophane, Robbie Davies Jnr, Tyrone Nurse, another compatriot in Jason Easton and ex-140 pound ruler Julius Indongo.

The CBC has set a deadline of next summer for Taylor to make his choice from their stipulated requirements or relinquish the belt to seek out further opportunities.
