Watch: Eddie Hearn brings back Tony Bellew memories with Crolla v Burns celebration fail

The likes of Carl Froch, Anthony Joshua and the like are no stranger to a Hearn hug on the back of a huge performance, although now and again things can go a little wrong.

Back in March, a video of Hearn jumping on Tony Bellew’s back once the towel came in from David Haye’s corner went viral as ‘The Bomber’ was more interested in brushing of the Matchroom bosses advances in order to check on the condition of his opponent.

Hearn was inadvertantly at it again on Saturday night when casually aiming for a fist bump with Anthony Crolla, who instead hit the glove of a passing Ricky Burns after they had shared a twelve-round war.

Clipping the cuff of Crolla’s glove, Hearn walked away sheepishly but will no doubt see the funny side when he sees footage of the incident in the aftermath.

Crolla v Burns was a highly entertaining affair which culminated in a victory for the Manchester man in his hometown arena unanimously on the scorecards.

On the other hand, Hearn may have went for one too many handshakes after touching gloves with both fighters on a few occasions after the bell.
