Mike Tyson says Floyd Mayweather should let Conor McGregor use kicks and knees

Mayweather agreed to fight the UFC star on August 26 in Las Vegas, but stipulated it must be a boxing match so he could have the chance to take his record to 50-0.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission sanctioned McGregor to fight in the State, although Tyson gave his opinion on the Irishman’s chances when asked if he had a puncher’s chance against Mayweather.

“There’s no way,” Tyson told the Pardon My Take podcast.

“It’s going to be exciting. (Everybody’s) excited because it’s got a circus kind of atmosphere but I love it because Floyd’s never met a character like this.

“When he (Conor) said, ‘why you got a book bag when you can’t read?’ – I want to say it was disrepectful but it was so funny!”

“The no saying it’s going to put a bad taste in people’s mouths but it’s going to happen.I heard it was going to happen but then I heard the rules, they’re just sucker rules for McGregor.”

Tyson continued: “McGregor has to be able to kick and used his knees.”

McGregor is set to make a career-best purse for crossing over codes next month, and barring a complete humiliation, may be able to set up further bouts in the squared circle.

It’s predicted McGregor will be heading back to MMA to defend his championship unless ‘The Notorious’ can pull off the biggest shock of all time and defeat Mayweather at his own game.
