Chris Eubank Jr. retained his super-middleweight belt with a dominant display against the seasoned Arthur Abraham in London on Saturday night

The 28 year-old Brighton man showed dazzling skills at times and moved into the World Boxing Super Series with a wide unanimous decision.

Rarely troubled throughout the contest, Eubank was declared the winner with scores of 120-108 and 118-110 twice.

Eubank will now face Avni Yildrim in the WBSS Quarter-Final in the next four months, with a world title unification against compatriot George Groves at stake.

After his triumph at the SSE Arena, Eubank and Groves spent some time ringside where the former confirmed his intention to book a semi-final spot opposite 'The Saint' by early next year.

Should the pair both win their first round match-ups in the newly-formed competition, they will collide in February or March in the semi-final.

A final clash with pre-tournament favourite Callum Smith could then be on the cards should Eubank progress, with the opportunity to then be IBO, WBA and WBC Diamond champion.

In his post-fight interview with John Inverdale on ITV Box Office, Eubank stated he would 100% defeat Yildrim before taking out Groves and then Smith before finishing off by confirming his final target for 2018 - IBF title holder James DeGale.

That's some plan of action for Eubank, who wants to be the dominant force at 168 pounds over the next fourteen or fifteeen months.

Eubank's blueprint:

September/October: Defeat Avni Yildrim in WBSS Quarter-Final

2018

February/March: Defeat George Groves in WBSS Semi-Final - IBO/WBA champion

May/June: Defeat Callum Smith (or whoever reaches the final) - IBO/WBA/WBC Diamond champion

September/October: Defeat James DeGale in super-middleweight unification - IBO/WBA/WBC Diamond/IBF champion
