The former Pound-for-Pound king is punishing himself in the gym, as usual, having allowed cameras to roll as he slammed around some weights and went through a press-up and sit-up session.

‘Money’ is set to go against the wishes of many in the sport to take on the top fighter in the rival code of MMA and has pencilled in a date of August 26 for the contest.

The monster Pay-Per-View offering against two-weight UFC title holder Conor McGregor is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas once a deal is struck with Ice Cube to move an already planned show at the venue.

Cube has a BIG3 Basketball event earmarked for the same weekend, although has been receptive to accomodating the Mayweather v McGregor blockbuster.

Once a deal is reached, Mayweather will be full steam ahead, with a press tour planned to take place in the next couple of weeks.

Mayweather and his team are thought to be planning a couple of stops in the United States and potentially one in McGregor’s native Dublin or even London, due to massive interest across the Atlantic.

Despite not having fought in almost two years, Mayweather looks as though he’s never been away and will be out to justify the bookies massive favouritism towards him in the betting.
