On the back of Chris Eubank Jr. facing Arthur Abraham and plenty of talk surrounding a possible unification between James DeGale and George Groves in the future, WBN has rated the current best 168 pounders.

Alongside their ratings from the pound for pound top 50, the likes of DeGale, Groves and Abraham are looking over their shoulder as a crop of hungry fighters eye spots in the top five.

Top 10 Super middleweights

Here’s the top 10 as it stands (P4P rating/record):

1. James DeGale (34 / 23-1-1)

DeGale takes top spot on the strength of his current opposition and a credible draw with ex-number one Badou Jack.

2. Gilberto Ramirez (40 / 35-0)

The Mexican is much-touted as the future of the division but just needs to defeat another of the names around him in order to reach the summit.

3. George Groves (48 / 26-3)

Groves salvaged his career with a win over Fedor Chudinov and is rightly recognised as a major player at 168.

4. Arthur Abraham (NR / 46-5)

Been there, seen it and done it. Abraham still wants to prove he can hang with the top guns against Eubank Jr. next month.

5. Anthony Dirrell (NR / 30-1-1)

Has taken knocks but always returns stronger. Another world title reign seems likely in the future.

6. Andre Dirrell (NR / 26-2)

Resilient like his brother and on the verge of having another chance at a world ruler.

7. Tyron Zeuge (NR / 20-0-1)

The unknown quantity of the ratings and needs to fight outside Germany in order to fully prove his worth.

8. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (NR / 50-3-1)

Form prior to his move down to 164 pounds in losing to Canelo Alvarez keeps the Mexican rated ahead of a rumored return to the weight class.

9. Chris Eubank Jr. (NR / 24-1)

A new force at the higher limit having been defeated by Billy Joe Saunders in his toughest test at 160.

10. Callum Smith (NR / 22-0)

The contender making the most noise and a boxer who can announce himself on the world stage with a WBC title win this coming September.
