Matti Koota to fight Ugandan Remmy Igga on May 27

The Finnish fan favourite meets Igga in his third professional bout on the undercard of the WBC Silver World Heavyweight title clash between Robert Helenius and Dereck Chisora.

Koota, a former three-time national amateur champion and 2008 Youth Amateur Championship bronze medallist, was left frustrated when his last fight ended a technical draw after an accidental clash of heads, but having put this disappointment behind him, the 26 year-old is eager to get back to winning ways against the tough Ugandan.

‘’I’ve only got one thing to say about this fight. I promised not to fight any bums and this is no bum,’’ he said. ‘’Remmy Igga is a very experienced fighter with a good winning record. However, he ain’t going to be a winner in Helsinki!’’

Koota versus Igga is the latest fight confirmed for a huge night of action on May 27 at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki featuring the hotly anticipated heavyweight rematch between Robert Helenius and Dereck Chisiroa, plus Finnish rivals Henri Kekalainen and Timo Laine, and rising cruiserweight star Tomi Honka.
