Jermell Charlo wipes out Charles Hatley with devastating blow in six

Charlo was in full control for the duration of the bout and put Hatley on the floor initially in the third round.

The 26 year-old dominated further until closing the show in the sixth round with a punishing right hand that knocked Hatley out cold and sent him sprawling through the ropes.

Doctors worked on Hatley for a couple of minutes until he came around before Charlo could fully celebrate an impressive display.

Other results from the Barclays Center in New York:

Amanda Serrano became five-time world champion when claiming the vacant Women’s WBO bantamweight title in New York.

The New York-based Puerto Rican proved too strong for Dahiana Santana as the southpaw recorded an eight round stoppage.

Serrano has now won world titles at bantamweight, super-bantamweight, featherweight, super-featherweight and lightweight after dropping down the weights continually since 2014.

Promising welterweight Jose Borrego continued his unbeaten run with a twelfth successive victory since turning pro. The 19 year-old southpaw halted John Delperdang in the seventh round to record an eleventh career stoppage as the Mexican heads towards titles.

Prior to the main event double-header, Richardson Hitchins won every round of four against Alexander Picot to make it two wins as a pro.

In the same division, Kenny Robles moved to 2-0 with a first round stoppage Latorie Woodberry, whilst Julian Sosa and Joseph Williams both recorded third round knockouts on the bill.
