The former fighter-turned promoter is heading to Irish shores for the first time on April 22 and Cuban technician Perez has bolstered an already packed card for next month.
“With the cancellation of April 1st card at the National Stadium, Patrick Thomas got in touch with me to see if I could house Perez for a comeback fight,” Farrell exclusively told World Boxing News.
“It didn’t take me 2 seconds to decide that I would put him on my show. I have left the matching too pat Perez manager and we’ll announce it in due course.
“From my side, delighted to be having such a global star on my first show across the Irish Sea. Perez is a massive addition to what’s already a really tasty bill with great top of the bill featuring unbeaten Feargal McCrory taking on my fighter Jay Carney. who won 2 fights in February beating
“Jay won two fights in February, in one of those Carney beat hometown favorite Carl Chadwick on Eddie Hearn’s hull show in February.
“The show also sees the pro debuts of Commonwealth Games bronze medalist SeanMcGlinchey and former WBU champion Eamonn Magee’s nephew Sean Magee. There’s also a return to the ring for Mark Morris, Gerard Healy, Mathew Fitzsimmons and DanMcShane.

Perez, 31, has been out of action since losing to ex-world heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin in one round back in May 2015, which represented the southpaw’s second career reverse.
Both stumbles on Perez’s record have come since his harrowing victory over Magomed Abdusalamov in New York back in November 2013, in which the latter Russian suffered a life-threatening injury ending his career.
In a previous interview with WBN closer to the time, Perez admitted the fight had an effect on him physiologically, although ‘The Rebel’ will be hoping to get back in the win section after a much-needed break in just over three weeks’ time.
