WBA order April 3 purse bid for Rigondeaux v Flores

The minimum amount to participate in this bid is 120 thousand dollars that will be split 75% for the super champion – 25% for the interim champion.

On July 18, 2016, both teams were ordered to fight as mandatory and had agreed to fight in February, however, the fight had to be postponed and now a new bid is summoned.

Rigondeaux was the WBA 122 lbs. champion since 2012, and defended the title four times, and won the super champion status in 2013 when defeated Nonito Donaire and has defended it three times.

On his behalf, Flores won the super bantamweight interim title in 2015 when defeated Oscar Escandon and has defended it twice.

The purse bid will be chaired by Panamanian Aurelio Fiengo WBA Director.
