Josh King promising Michael Katsidis KO on March 11

“I’ve always just wanted to meet Michael and now I’ve got the chance to fight him, which is unreal, King said

“I’m going out there to try and stop him.

“I think I’ve got the power to stop him and beat him pretty convincingly.

“I’ve taken the fight thinking 100% that I can win,” King said.

His trainer Johnny Lindgren concurs.

“My opinion with much respect to Michael’s past achievements is that time waits for nobody and I am very confident Josh King will come out the other side of this fight with his hand raised.

“Our camp is pumped for this fight and Josh is primed to upset Michael Katsidis on March 11, this is a must watch Aussie fight!”

Michael Katsidis is a household name World wide. Aside from his World title victories he captured the hearts of millions because of his all action style.

King has made a similar name for himself as an all action warrior. If styles make fights – this one has all the ingredients for a crowd pleasing showdown.

“I don’t think you’re going to be able to blink throughout the fight,” King said

“We’ll both just be going for it for the full eight rounds.

“I believe I will come out victorious towards the end of the fight and I should get my hand raised.

“Everything has got to be right.

“All my sparring has got to be right and I’ve got to outwork him in everything that he can do,” King said.

This all Aussie showdown against two boxers who have excelled on the World stage is a huge draw card for the TGW & Smithy Bring the Big Fights 16 card on March 11. It’s very fitting the winner will be awarded the Brayd Smith WUC Welterweight title.

Michael had a close relationship with Brayd through his entire life while Josh crossed paths with Brayd on several occasions – including a training camp together in Thailand.

“When I got the call about this fight I jumped at it,” King said.

“It’s an honour to fight in tribute of Braydon Smith on this show on March 11.”

Tickets are on sale for TGW & Smithy Bring the Big Fights 16 from Smithy’s TGW Gym Mon-Fri or by phoning 46 378 298 and paying via credit card.
