Early wins for Campbell, Coyle, Allen in Hull; Prospects shocked

The WBC Silver lightweight title holder had Lopez on the canvas and in trouble in the first before finishing the job in the very next round.

Campbell has now won four in a row since a shock loss to Yvan Mendy put the only dent in his C.V. and a world title shot won’t be far for the talented Matchroom star.

Tommy Coyle had too much power for Rakeem Noble, demonstrating the fact on more than one occasion on his way to a third round stoppage.

To the delight of the home crowd, Coyle beat down Noble to force the early victory and register a 23rd career win.

Ahead of a possible world title challenge in the summer, Ryan Burnett put eight decent rounds in the bank against a stubborn Joseafat Reyes.

Burnett is quickly building a solid reputation but was unable to add to his previous nine knockouts. Upon completion of the contest, the far slicker Burnett was awarded the decision 79-73 and a new and improved 16-0 record into the bargain.

Heavyweight Dave Allen wasted no time blasting out Lukasz Rusiewicz as the Yorkshireman put 2016 losses to Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz behind him.

Allen won in just 30 seconds to improve his C.V to 10-2-1 and possibly move towards some sort of title fight this year.

Jay Carney edged out Carl Chadwick over four rounds by the tightest of margins. In the end, the official scored the fight 39-38 to the Liverpool man as Chadwick suffered a second career reverse.

Earlier, super featherweight Jacob Wooley and super-welterweight Connor Seymour both dropped their undefeated records due to shock defeats to Jordan Ellison and William Warburton respectively.

Wooley was beaten on points over six rounds, whilst Seymour went down in two rounds to 107-loss Warburton.
