The 27 year-old, who is undefeated and has knocked out all his opponents since entering the paid ranks in 2013, takes on ex-divisional king Wladimir Klitschko in front of a sell-out 90,000 crowd at the world famous arena.
With the clash fast approaching, Joshua is fully aware of what the significance of a win over someone in the ilk of Klitschko would mean and aims to take full advantage of his opportunity when it comes in the spring.
“This is all about the mind games now, but as we know I’m a man who likes to perform. The obsession has always been there for me and not just in boxing. It starts with self, boxing is a representation of who I am. I’m determined to become the best. That’s my obsession,” said Joshua.
“I’m a man who likes to perform and entertain and that’s away been there. I’ve always wanted to take on the best.”
Looking at Joshua’s record, it can be argued there are no top-level heavyweights on there, although ‘AJ’ is fully focused on proving he belongs at the very summit and can stay there for a long time in the future.
“The questions are correct, is it too soon, have my opponents prepared me for this? – God would never put me in a position I couldn’t handle, I’m fighting Wladimir Klitschko in front of 90,000 people but the objective still remains the same,” he stated.
Opponent Klitschko hasn’t fought since being humbled by Tyson Fury in November 2015 and will have turned 41 by the time the Ukrainian force embarks on a 69th professional contest in London.
