Pacquiao to fight in UAE next, names Crawford, Khan on shortlist of four

Despite a clash with Horn being favoured to take place in Australia by promoters Top Rank, the Filipino Senator is consistently pushing others fighters to his many supporters around the world.

In a latest social media post, Pacquiao names fellow welterweight champion Kell Brook for a potential unification, whilst adding former and current super-lightweight kings Amir Khan and Terence Crawford to Horn on the list of possibles.

The public statement will not please Duco Events, who were hopeful of landing a lucrative Pacquiao visit in Brisbane this coming April.

Confusion is now reigning regarding whom, where and when Pacquiao will fight next as venues around the world vie to host one of the best fighters of this generation in the spring.

Of those four mentioned, Brook is due to mandatory fight with Errol Spence, whilst Khan (who leads the vote) and Crawford are free to negotiate despite an arena in the United States being better options for either.

Initially, Horn was pushed to the top of the list on the back of Top Rank and Duco working together for the Joseph Parker v Andy Ruiz heavyweight title fight in December, despite the Aussie never really being at the forefront of Pacquiao’s own mind.

The next announcement is set to reveal more as time runs out for a rumored date for Pacquiao in late April.
