The World Boxing Organisation has delayed their imminent heavyweight title purse bid from an original date of this Wednesday by two days.

Champion Joseph Parker is set to defend his belt against number two ranked Hughie Fury in the coming months and both sides will have the chance to earn the right to stage the contest when the WBO reside over bids at the end of the week.

In an official document released to all promoters, the WBO outlined the following:

Please be advised that the Purse Bid Scheduled for 11:00 am AST on Wednesday, February 1st 2017 has been postponed until Friday, February 3rd, same time and place:

Verdanza Hotel

8020 Tartak Street

Isla Verde, PR 00979

Ph.: +1 (787) 625-9025

The minimum acceptable bid for the Heavyweight Title is $1,000,000.00 (One Million Dollars). The Purse division for Champion Parker will be 60% and for the Challenger 40%, as accorded during the 2016 WBO Convention in San Juan, PR.

President Francisco Valcarcel will be presiding

Fury has been out of action due to a skin condition that affected his stamina but has been passed fit for a comeback fight against the fellow-undefeated New Zealander.

Parker won the title by out-pointing Andy Ruiz Jr. in December and is hoping to set-up a unification with Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder with victory over the Briton.
