The youngster had been helping out experienced keepers at the Everglades US National Park as part of his work with the Klitschko Foundation when an alligator sliced his hand.
Posting a snap of his injuries via social media, Yegor-Daniel made light of what could have been a much worse incident.
“Rule number one when working as an alligator keeper, if Erwin the alligator wants food, you give him food. I even have blue stitches,” said Klitschko’s son.
Father Vitali now works in politics since hanging up his gloves in 2012 on the back of a stellar ring career as his son plans a life without getting punched in the face.
Currently serving as the Mayor of Kiev, Klitschko, 45, lost just twice in 47 professional bouts and was undefeated for almost a decade following his final bout against Manuel Charr.
Klitschko’s brother Wladimir is preparing to battle Anthony Joshua in the UK this spring as the Klitschko family bid to regain a boxing world title for the first time since 2015.
Prior to Tyson Fury’s win over Wladimir, you’d have to go as far back as 2004 to find a time without one of the Klitschko brothers as a top division ruler.
Joshua will be hoping to stop that from ever happening again on April 29.
