Chris Eubank Jr will be challenging Australian Ronald Quinlan on February 4 for the IBO super middleweight world title on ITV Box Office.

The boxer from Brighton has been linked with fighting the likes of GGG, Billy Joe Saunders and James DeGale but is looking no further than his next opponent.

He said: “He (Quinlan) is a very good fighter who is coming to our backyard to defend his title, he means business and we expect him to bring it to us. He knocked out Daniel Geale in his last fight so I can’t overlook him.

“Training has been going well and I’m feeling strong. Recently I have been sparring eight rounds with some light-heavyweight boxers.

“Obviously after this fight, I want all the big names, the rematch with Saunders, GGG and James DeGale. But we’ll see what options we have on the table after this fight.

ITV will launch its first ever PPV channel for the IBO world title encounter and Eubank is thrilled to be spearheading the new direction.

“It’s great that ITV have come back into boxing. It is one of the most recognisable platforms around the world and so many people can access the channel.

“It’s all about promoting the sport as much as we can and with the platform of ITV and one of the best boxers in the world in me, we can engage with a wider audience.”

With the fight just less than a month away, Eubank expects there to be more additions to an undercard that consists of David Price and Kid Galahad.

He said: “We are still in discussions with a few fighters who could be added to the undercard, but within the next couple of weeks we should be able to announce more.

“I know that the boxing fans can’t wait for the fight between John Ryder and Adam Etches. It’s a great British domestic clash with two exciting fighters. It’s going to be a war.

“February 4 is going to be a night to remember for all the fans. You can expect a night of entertaining fights and history being made when I become the new world champion.”
